About

Slow Blog is a writing experiment that I started in 2006, then dropped, then picked up again in 2008. Such low activity is supported by its very nature, however, because Slow Blog is about only writing when it feels right. The pressure to produce content in order to participate in an ever faster-moving web is considerable; this blog is a response to that tendency, a structural buffer against the pressure. Read the Slow Blog Manifesto, comment, write your own version and share it here. Contact me for author access, or for any other reason.

About the Author

My name is Todd Sieling. I’m a software product designer, a sporadic writer, and an amateur photographer, and make my home in Vancouver, BC. I have particular interests in astronomy, the history of science and technology, and culture. And I seem to really like taking pictures of shoes hanging from wires.
